Authority

Definition

Authority refers to the power or control that someone has over others, often in a position of leadership or governance. It is the ability to make decisions and enforce them.

Analogy

Imagine authority as a traffic light at an intersection. When the light is green, it means the person in charge has the power to make decisions and direct traffic flow. However, when the light turns red, their authority is limited and they must follow certain rules.
