Autonomy

Definition

Autonomy refers to a government's ability to act independently without interference from external forces or other governments. It involves making decisions that are in the best interest of its own citizens without being unduly influenced by outside pressures.

Analogy

Think of autonomy as a student studying for exams without distractions. Just like a student needs an environment free from interruptions to focus on their studies, governments need autonomy to make decisions that prioritize their citizens' welfare without external interference.
