Plantations

Definition

Large agricultural estates that produced crops such as sugar, tobacco, and cotton, often worked by enslaved laborers.

Analogy

Plantations are like big farms on steroids. Just like how a regular farm produces crops, plantations produce massive amounts of crops on a much larger scale with the help of many workers.
