The legislative body of the British government that makes laws and decisions.
Think of Parliament as a giant board game where all the players come together to make rules for everyone to follow. Each player represents a different group with their own interests and ideas, but they have to work together to create fair and just laws.
Colonial Resistance: Actions taken by the American colonists to protest against British policies and taxes.
Taxation without Representation: The idea that the American colonists were being taxed by the British government without having any say or representation in that government.
Stamp Act: A law passed by Parliament in 1765 that required colonists to pay a tax on printed materials such as newspapers, legal documents, and playing cards.
