Pesticides are substances used for destroying insects or other organisms harmful to cultivated plants or animals.
Think of pesticides as a security guard for plants. Just like a security guard keeps unwanted intruders out, pesticides keep harmful insects and organisms away from the plants.
Insecticides: Chemicals specifically used to kill or control the population of insects.
Herbicides: Substances that are designed to control or destroy plants, weeds, or grasses.
