Immigration is the process by which individuals move from one country to another with intentions of settling, permanently or temporarily.
Think of immigration like a big school transfer. You're moving from one school (country) to another, bringing your unique skills and experiences with you, but also needing to learn new rules and adapt to a different environment.
Emigration: The act of leaving one's own country or region to settle in another.
Naturalization: The legal process through which an immigrant becomes a citizen of a new country.
Diaspora: A scattered population whose origin lies within a smaller geographic locale. Diaspora can refer to emigration from an original homeland.
