Automation

Definition

Automation is the use of technology, particularly computer systems and machines, to control and operate various processes and systems in order to improve efficiency and productivity.

Analogy

Think of automation like setting an alarm on your phone. Instead of having to constantly check the time and remember when you need to wake up, you set an alarm once, and it automatically does the job for you every day.
