Phenotype: The observable physical and behavioral characteristics of an individual influenced by both genetics and environment.
Dominant Gene: A gene that is expressed in the phenotype even when only one copy is present in the genotype.
Recessive Gene: A gene that is only expressed in the phenotype when two copies are present in the genotype.
