Definition

These are the core traits that form the basis of an individual's personality. They are the handful of defining characteristics that can be used to describe a person.

Analogy

Think of central traits like the main ingredients in your favorite dish. Just as you can't make spaghetti without pasta and sauce, a person's personality wouldn't be complete without their central traits.
