Joules is the unit of measurement for energy. It represents the amount of work done when a force of one newton is applied over a distance of one meter.
Think of joules as the currency of energy. Just like dollars represent value, joules represent the amount of energy something possesses.
Work: The transfer of energy that occurs when a force is applied to an object and it moves in the direction of the force.
Power: The rate at which work is done or energy is transferred.
Potential Energy: The stored energy an object has due to its position or condition.
