Mecca is the holiest city in Islam and is located in Saudi Arabia. It is the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad and is the site of the Kaaba, which Muslims face during their prayers.
Think of Mecca as a spiritual hub, like a giant magnet that attracts millions of Muslims from all over the world. Just like how bees are drawn to flowers for nectar, Muslims are drawn to Mecca for spiritual nourishment.
Hajj: The annual pilgrimage to Mecca that every able-bodied Muslim is required to complete at least once in their lifetime.
Kaaba: A sacred building located in the center of Masjid al-Haram (the Great Mosque) in Mecca. It is believed to have been built by Abraham and his son Ishmael.
Medina: Another important city in Islam, located in present-day Saudi Arabia. It served as the first capital of the Islamic state after Muhammad's migration from Mecca.
