Church of England

Definition

The Church of England is the primary Christian church in England. It was established during the English Reformation when it separated from the Roman Catholic Church.

Analogy

Think about a spin-off TV show that becomes as popular, if not more so, than its original series. The Church of England is like that spin-off, having broken away from the "original series" (the Roman Catholic Church) to form its own identity.
