Definition
British rule refers to the period when Britain had political control over various territories around the world through colonization. It involved establishing governance systems based on British laws and customs.

Imagine that you are visiting an amusement park called "British Land." While there, you must follow all rules set by park officials who represent Britain. They decide what rides you can go on and how long you can stay.
