  • Hugo Münsterberg, a German psychologist, published "Psychology and Industrial Efficiency" in 1913 which applied psychological principles to various industrial problems

  • The Hawthorne studies, conducted in the 1920s and 1930s, investigated the effects of working conditions on employee productivity and highlighted the importance of social factors and employee attitudes in the workplace
