"Walden" is a book written by Henry David Thoreau about his experiment living simply and self-sufficiently near Walden Pond in Massachusetts.
Imagine if someone decided to live off-grid today - growing their own food, building their own shelter - then blogged about it. That's essentially what "Walden" is!
Simplicity: The quality or condition of being easy to understand or do. In "Walden", Thoreau advocates for simplicity as a way of life.
Self-reliance: Reliance on one's own capabilities, judgment or resources. This is a key theme in "Walden".
Nature: The natural world as it exists without human beings or civilization. Thoreau's experience at Walden Pond was deeply connected to nature.
