Definition
Tomatoes are fruits native to South America that were brought back to Europe during Columbus's voyages. They played a significant role in changing global eating habits after being incorporated into various cuisines around the world.

Imagine tomatoes as an exchange student who comes from South America (their place of origin) to Europe (where they were introduced). At first, people are skeptical about them because they're different.
