Sons of Liberty

Definition

The Sons of Liberty was a secret revolutionary organization that was created in the Thirteen American Colonies to advance the rights of the European colonists and to fight taxation by the British government.

Analogy

Think about a group of students forming a secret club to protest against unfair school rules. They might organize rallies, create posters, or even meet with school officials. That's what the Sons of Liberty did - but on a much larger scale and with higher stakes.
