A term popularized by President Richard Nixon to describe a large group of people in a country or group who do not express their opinions publicly. In Nixon's context, it referred to those who quietly supported his policies but did not voice out their support.
Imagine being at a concert where everyone is cheering loudly for one band while another group quietly enjoys another band but doesn't make noise about it. That quiet group represents the silent majority.
Vocal Minority: A small number of people within a larger group or society who express an opinion contrary to what is commonly believed but are more vocal about their views.
Public Opinion Polls: Surveys conducted by pollsters with the aim of gaiving public opinion from a particular sample.
