Republicanism
Definition
Republicanism is a political ideology centered on citizenship in a state organized as a republic under which citizens elect representatives to make decisions on their behalf.
Analogy
Imagine if your class had to decide on a field trip location but couldn't agree. Instead, everyone votes for one person who will make this decision based on what they believe is best for everyone - that's republicanism!
