Racial Segregation

Definition

Racial segregation is the systemic separation of people into racial or other ethnic groups in daily life.

Analogy

Imagine if at lunchtime, all students with brown eyes had to sit on one side of the cafeteria and those with blue eyes sat on another side. That's how racial segregation worked - it separated people based on their race.
