Northern Confederacy

Definition

The Northern Confederacy was a proposed union of New England states considered by some Federalists around 1803-1804 due to their dissatisfaction with Southern dominance in federal government under Presidents like Thomas Jefferson.

Analogy

So, they decide maybe it's time they form their own separate league where they can have more control - that's kind of what these Federalists were thinking about doing with the Northern Confederacy idea.
