New England Area

Definition

The New England area refers to the northeastern region of the United States, comprising six states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. This region played a significant role in early American history as it was one of the first areas colonized by English settlers.

Analogy

Think of the New England area like a group project team in your class. Each state (team member) has its unique strengths and characteristics but they all work together under one common identity - just like how each state in New England has its own culture and history but collectively form an important part of US history.
