Iraq War
Definition
The Iraq War (2003-2011) was a protracted armed conflict that began with an invasion led by US forces aiming to topple Saddam Hussein's regime under accusations of possessing weapons of mass destruction which were never found.
Analogy
Imagine you're playing a video game where you believe one character has a powerful weapon that could harm others. You decide to confront this character only to find out they don't have such weapon after all. That's similar to what happened with Iraq war - it started based on assumptions that turned out false.
