Enslaved Africans

Definition

Enslaved Africans were individuals captured in Africa and forcibly brought to America from the 16th through 19th centuries where they were sold into slavery and forced to work without pay or rights.

Analogy

Imagine being an unwilling player in a soccer game where you're not allowed to leave the field or stop playing no matter how tired you get. That's what life was like for enslaved Africans - they had no control over their lives and were forced into hard labor with no end in sight.
