Demographic changes refer to shifts in population characteristics such as age, race, gender, birth rate, death rate, education and income levels over time.
Think of a school's yearbook. If you compare the first edition to the most recent one, you'll notice changes in student population - maybe more diversity or different popular styles. This is like demographic change on a societal level.
Population Pyramid: A graphical representation showing the distribution of various age groups in a population.
Migration: The movement of people from one place to another with intentions of settling permanently or temporarily at a new location.
Urbanization: The process by which towns and cities are formed and become larger as more people begin living and working in central areas.
