COVID-19 Pandemic

Definition

The COVID-19 pandemic refers to the global outbreak of coronavirus disease that began in late 2019. It has had significant impacts on public health, economies, and daily life around the world.

Analogy

Think of it as an unexpected storm hitting during an outdoor concert. Everyone was enjoying themselves (normal life), but then suddenly they have to seek shelter (lockdowns), many events get cancelled (economic slowdown), and everyone needs umbrellas and raincoats (masks and vaccines).
