Continental Army

Definition

The Continental Army was formed after outbreak of American Revolutionary War by representatives from 13 colonies. Led by General George Washington, it served as main army of the Patriots during the Revolutionary War.

Analogy

The Continental Army is like your school's football team, with George Washington as the coach. They had to work together and strategize to win their "games" (battles), just like a football team does in order to win their matches.
