Definition
The Atlantic Coast refers to the easternmost coastlines along the Atlantic Ocean in North America which includes all coastal states from Maine down to Florida.

Imagine if you're at a big party (North America), and there's this long snack table (the Atlantic Coast) where everyone gathers around because it has access to all sorts of goodies (resources).
