Definition
The 21st Amendment to the United States Constitution effectively ended Prohibition by repealing the 18th Amendment, making it legal again to manufacture, sell, and transport alcohol within the United States.
Analogy
Imagine if your parents banned candy in your house because they thought it was bad for you (like Prohibition). But then they realized that not having candy led to more problems like sneaking around or unhealthy substitutes. So they decide to lift that ban - that's what happened with the 21st Amendment!
