Definition
Women's suffrage refers to the right of women to vote in elections. This was a global movement that took place during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Analogy
Imagine being in a classroom where only half the students are allowed to answer questions or participate in discussions. That’s what society was like before women’s suffrage – half the population (women) didn’t have a say in political decisions!
