The Sapa Inca was the emperor or ruler of the Incan Empire, considered by his subjects to be a direct descendant of the sun god.
Think of Sapa Inca as the CEO of a major corporation. He made all important decisions and was seen as an almost divine figure - like if Steve Jobs were also worshipped as a god!
Inti: The ancient Incan sun god, from whom the Sapa Incas claimed descent.
Machu Picchu: An ancient city built by Incas under orders from a Sapa Inca, now one of most famous archaeological sites in world.
Mit'a System: A labor system used in the Incan Empire where every able-bodied citizen had to contribute work towards public projects (like building temples or roads). This can be seen as an early form of taxation.
