Railroads

Definition

A mode of land transportation where vehicles are directed by fixed rails (tracks), which are typically made out of steel. Railroads played a crucial role in industrialization by facilitating faster movement of goods and people across long distances.

Analogy

Imagine railroads as your school's hallways during passing periods. Just like students move quickly from one class to another via these corridors, trains transport goods and passengers efficiently from one place to another along their tracks.
