North Vietnam

Definition

North Vietnam, officially the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRV), was a state in Southeast Asia from 1945 to 1976. It was recognized by China and the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

Analogy

Think of North Vietnam as one sibling who has different political beliefs than their other sibling. In this case, it's like a brother who is more into punk rock while his twin prefers pop music. They're from the same family but have very different tastes - just like how North Vietnam had a communist government while its southern counterpart did not.
