Mujahideen
Definition
Mujahideen is an Arabic term that broadly refers to Islamic guerrilla fighters, particularly those in Afghanistan who opposed invading forces from the USSR from 1979-1989.
Analogy
Imagine if your neighborhood was invaded by outsiders trying to take over. The Mujahideen would be like your neighbors forming a resistance group to protect their homes and way of life.
