Measles

Definition

Measles is a highly contagious viral disease that causes fever, cough, and a rash. It was widespread before the development of a vaccine in the 1960s.

Analogy

Think of measles as an uninvited party crasher who not only shows up without an invitation but also brings along unwanted gifts (symptoms) for everyone present. The vaccine is like having a really good bouncer at the door who recognizes this crasher and doesn't let them in.
