Definition

Gender equality refers to the equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities of women and men. This concept recognizes that all human beings are free to develop their personal abilities and make choices without the limitations set by stereotypes or prejudices about gender roles.

Analogy

Think of gender equality as a game where everyone starts at the same starting line with an equal chance to win. No one is given a head start or held back because of their gender. Everyone has an equal opportunity to reach the finish line based on their skills & efforts rather than preconceived notions about their gender.
