Eastern Hemisphere

Definition

The Eastern Hemisphere is a geographical term for half of Earth which is east of the prime meridian (which crosses Greenwich, London) and west of Antimeridian. It includes Africa, Asia, Australia and most parts of Europe.

Analogy

Imagine you're looking at an apple straight-on with its stem pointing upwards. If you slice it down vertically through its middle (stem), one half would represent our Eastern Hemisphere - containing countries like China or Australia!
