COVID-19 is the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2. It was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China.
Think of COVID-19 as a destructive storm caused by the villain (SARS-CoV-2). Just like how storms can cause different levels of damage, COVID-19 can also range from mild symptoms to severe illness.
Quarantine: A restriction on the movement of people and goods which is intended to prevent the spread of disease or pests.
Social Distancing: The practice designed to limit the spread of a disease by reducing close contact between individuals.
Epidemiology: The study and analysis of the distribution, patterns and determinants of health and disease conditions in defined populations.
