The Communist Party of Peru is a political party that advocates for the establishment of a communist society in Peru based on Marxist-Leninist ideology.
Think of this party as an ambitious chef who wants to change the menu (Peru's political system) at their restaurant to only serve dishes they believe are best (communism), based on recipes from famous chefs Marx and Lenin.
Communism: A political theory advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. It’s like everyone in school getting exactly what they need for lunch, no more, no less.
Marxism-Leninism: A type of communism developed by Vladimir Lenin which builds upon Marxism. It’s like adding extra ingredients to your grandma's secret recipe - you're keeping her idea but making it your own.
Political Party: An organized group of people with similar political aims and opinions that seek to influence public policy by getting its candidates elected to public office. Like different sports teams competing in a league, each with their own strategies and game plans.
