Chinese Enclaves

Definition

Chinese enclaves are neighborhoods or communities outside China where Chinese immigrants have settled, maintaining their cultural traditions while also adapting to their new environments.

Analogy

Imagine you're playing Minecraft and you've built your own little world with all your favorite features. Now imagine other players come into your world but instead of changing everything around, they build their own mini-worlds within yours - keeping some elements of your design but adding their unique touches too. That's what happens when immigrants create enclaves in new countries; they bring pieces of home with them while also adapting to their new surroundings.
