Systematic samples are obtained by selecting every kth individual from the population. The first individual is randomly chosen between 1 and k.
Think of systematic samples like picking every nth slice of pizza from a whole pizza. You start by randomly choosing which slice to begin with (between 1 and n), and then continue picking every nth slice after that.
Simple Random Sample (SRS): A simple random sample consists of individuals chosen completely by chance without any specific pattern or order.
Convenience Sample: This type of sample includes individuals who are readily available or easily accessible.
Stratified Random Sample: In this method, the population is divided into homogeneous subgroups called strata, and then a random sample is taken from each stratum.
