A statistical claim is a statement or hypothesis about a population parameter that can be tested using statistical methods.
Think of a statistical claim as a rumor spreading in your school. It's an assertion made about the entire student body, and you can use statistics to investigate whether it's true or not.
Null Hypothesis: The null hypothesis is the opposite of the statistical claim, stating that there is no significant difference or relationship between variables.
Alternative Hypothesis: The alternative hypothesis contradicts the null hypothesis and supports the statistical claim by suggesting there is a significant difference or relationship between variables.
Significance Level: The significance level determines how much evidence we need to reject the null hypothesis and support the statistical claim. It helps us make decisions based on probability.
