Mutually exclusive events are events that cannot occur at the same time. If one event happens, the other event cannot happen.
Think of mutually exclusive events like choosing between two different ice cream flavors. You can only choose one flavor at a time, so if you choose chocolate, you cannot also have vanilla.
Complementary Events: Two events are complementary if they cover all possible outcomes and do not overlap.
Independent Events: Independent events are events where the outcome of one event does not affect the outcome of another event.
Union of Events: The union of two or more events is the set of outcomes that belong to either one or both of the events.
