Interval Level of Measurement

Definition

Interval level of measurement is a type of measurement scale that not only categorizes data but also allows for meaningful comparisons between the values. It has equal intervals between the numbers, but there is no true zero point.

Analogy

Think of interval level of measurement like temperature on the Celsius scale. The intervals between each degree are equal, and you can compare temperatures (e.g., 20°C is hotter than 10°C), but 0°C doesn't represent an absence of temperature.
