Inference for categorical data refers to the process of drawing conclusions about a population based on data that is organized into categories. Chi-squared tests are statistical tests used to determine if there is a significant association between two categorical variables.
Contingency Table: A table that displays frequencies or proportions of observations for two or more categorical variables.
Goodness-of-Fit Test: A chi-squared test used to compare observed frequencies with expected frequencies in one categorical variable.
