Ironía refers to the use of words or expressions to convey a meaning that is opposite to its literal interpretation. It involves saying something but implying the opposite for humorous or rhetorical effect.
Imagine you're at an amusement park waiting in line for your favorite roller coaster. The sign says "Only 10 minutes wait!" but you end up waiting for an hour. That's irony! Just like this unexpected twist at the amusement park, irony surprises us by presenting something different from what we expect.
Sarcasmo: Sarcasm is a type of verbal irony that uses cutting remarks or mocking statements to express contempt or ridicule.
Paradoja: Paradox refers to a statement that seems contradictory but may actually be true or make sense when examined closely.
Hipérbole: Hyperbole involves exaggerating statements for emphasis or dramatic effect. It can also create ironic situations by stretching reality beyond belief.
