Plurilingualism

Definition

Plurilingualism refers to an individual's ability to speak multiple languages fluently. It goes beyond bilingualism (speaking two languages) and encompasses individuals who have acquired proficiency in three or more languages.

Analogy

Plurilingualism is like having a colorful toolbox filled with different language tools. Just as you can choose the right tool for each task when fixing something at home, plurilingual individuals can select the most appropriate language for communication depending on the situation they find themselves in.
