Literature Review

Definition

A literature review involves examining existing scholarly articles, books, and other sources related to a particular topic. It helps researchers understand what has already been studied and identify gaps in knowledge.

Analogy

Imagine you're planning a party and you want it to be unique. Before making any decisions, you check out different party themes, decorations, and activities that others have tried before. This process of gathering ideas and understanding what has already been done is similar to conducting a literature review.
