Boolean operators are words or symbols used to combine search terms in order to narrow or broaden the results of an online search. They include "AND," "OR," and "NOT."
Think of boolean operators as filters for your online search. Using "AND" is like using a fine mesh filter that only allows results that contain all of your search terms. Using "OR" is like using a wider filter that allows results with any of your search terms. And using "NOT" is like using a filter that excludes certain results.
Search Query: A search query is the combination of keywords and boolean operators used to find specific information on the internet.
Search Engine: A search engine is a software program that searches a database of internet pages based on the user's inputted keywords and boolean operators.
Advanced Search: Advanced search options allow users to refine their searches by specifying additional criteria such as date, language, or file type.
