Visual Cortex
Definition
The visual cortex is the part of the brain responsible for processing visual information. It's located in the occipital lobe at the back of the brain.
Analogy
Think of the visual cortex as a movie theater. The eyes capture images like a camera, and then send them to this "theater" where they are processed and interpreted, allowing us to understand and react to what we see.

Primary Visual Cortex (V1): This is the main area within the visual cortex that processes visual information coming from our eyes.
Occipital Lobe: This is one of four major lobes in the brain, located at its back. It contains most of the anatomical region of the visual cortex.
Visual Perception: This is our ability to interpret information and surroundings from visible light reaching our eyes.
